i'm started to fly a lot with the Stuka now i have some Real world and sim based questions...
if you could help me i'd be thankful....

Sim world...
1.Why is my auto release not working with bombs?
2.what does FLOTTE BIEZL mean its painted on some bombs
3.whats on read writing on the nose has something to do with 50/50 ???
4.how do you get any where at the start of a campaign? you always fly at the end of the group and when the other guys have finnished there bomb run you have nothing to bomb! so how do you get promoted?!

Real world
1.was it common for stukas not to pull out of the dive?
2.who produced the engine

MUCHAS GRACIAS./THANK YOU VERY MUCH

I would like to add to those questions, why is it when you are at the end and everybody dives as soon as the first planes bombs hit, your Stuka automatically pulls out of the dive. It really irritates me. If its a small target(almost always) I'll let the other guys handle it and go after a target that close. Thats what I waste my bombs on, not the primary.
I can only answer one question: your rank depends on where you start, I started at full rank once and I was at lead, it was very interesting, none of the other guys made it back.

Fulanito-
I have never flown a Stuka. No idea why it does what it does.

For any translation, I would recommend an on-line translation engine for a general idea of what it means.

I have absolutely no idea what you are asking on question #3, fulanito. Something of a language barrier exists between us http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

As for the campaign:

You get promoted for succesfully completing missions, not for targets destroyed. Acts of bravery such as destroying multiple targets will end up with you getting a medal or two. maybe a promotion comes along with it, but the promotion was for the number of succesful missions.

On Stukas not pulling out of a dive, I can only assume I am not understanding you. Not pulling out of a dive is fatal http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

The Ju 87 was produced by Junkers. the first JU 87 was powered by a Rolls Royce Kestrel engine, strangely enough. Subsequent JU 87s used the Junkers Jumo 210A, The 210Ca, 210Da, 211Da, 211J-1, and maybe other experimental Junkers designs, but Junkers made plenty of engines, for sure http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Scorpion-

I have no idea. I guess I'll fly it and find out http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

The auto-release is not working on the D5 for some reason. It does work on D3 (and assumably on B2 as well). This isn't the end of the world, just set your drop altitude and hit the button when you hear the horn. The auto-pullout feature is still there so you wont turn into a lawn dart even if you set your altitude really low.

Ju87-A1 and A2 powered by Jumo 210Da W/680 hp then the Jumo 211 and got redesigned after the engine size increased. I think what the 50/50 refers to is the mix of the coolant (Glysantin and water). It is on the plane in roughly the radiator area and the cut away view shows the coolant header tank above the exhaust. The cut away view is of the Ju87D-1. The book is "the Great Book of WW2 Airplanes. It shows lay outs in color and line drawing only of the cockpit, gunner's station and cut away of complete airplane. The planes covered are P-38, P-51, B-17, Hellcat, F4U Corsair, Spitfire, Mosquito, Lancaster, Bf-109, Fw-190, Ju-87, and the Zero.

Don't use the Stuka a lot but usually you have to set the drop altitude and then just dive. Chack that if you come in at 4k you shouldn't really set the drop alt to 500 if you know what i mean otherwise you'll be waiting for quit a while lol.

Well I guess the thing on the Bomb is Flotte Biene??? which literally means "smart" or "fast bee" and might be translated as "hot chick" if you want to.

So long.We wish you well.
You told us how you weren't afraid to die.
Well then, so long.Don't cry.
Or feel too down.

But at least you tried.

1. It does work, you have to set the auto release altitude - I have mine mapped to <Ctrl><Num pad 1>

2. Dont know what that means.

3. Radiator coolant type.

4. Already answered.

RW:
1. Auto pull out was developed becasue of high G load at the end of a dive, the same reason for the dive breaks.

2. Jumo

Also, if you hit the autopullout altitude, all bombs will drop. If you release prior to that altitude, you will drop the big bomb 1st, then one set of 50's at a time with each release. So, if you dont want to release all bombs, set your pullout altitude low (250 meters) and manually release the bombs. Also, you CAN dive from 5k and pullout low. Just make sure to extend your dive breaks, perhaps come combat flaps, and drop your pitch to 0. (Setting the supercharger to stage 1 is a good idea too so you have some escape power at the end of the pullout - I always forget this. You will dive around 450-480 KPH, and recovering is really wasy with a little trim.

Now if I could only get the hang of the Stuvi! I love the D-5! The 20mm's in the wings make for nice ground target strafing after delivering your bomb(s). That SC1800 makes a big boom too!
