View Full Version : Rear view mirror?

The latest develelopment update shows the Spitfire with rear view mirror, presumably intended to be functional? Was this also a feature on the Hurricane? I ask because in external view I can see what looks like a mirror, but in internal view it isn't there. Can it be 'switched on' somehow? Might save a bit of hat twiddling...

Check your control assignments. Because of the impact on frame rates, it's switchable and is off by default. You'll have to assign a control for it.

Thanks for ultra-rapid response. I suspected as much, so will check assignments. Might be nice to see who's trying to modify my airframe.

If you see a bandit in the rearview mirror it's probably too late. But it's a nice detail if your not concerned about killing your frame rates.

Agree it's a nice detail, but it just adds to the clutter blocking your view when approaching a bandit from below IMHO.

Also check La5/7 series, as well as P40 and P47 I believe.

Bear in mind that there are three positions to the mirror toggle button.
First press- displays mirror (high detail)
Second press- changes to low detail mirror
Third press- mirror off

Or something like that; maybe it's low detail first and then high detail... I can't remember. But it might help your frame rates a little, knowing that snippet of info.
