Sorry for this being so off topic but hoped someone here might know how to help.

As from yesterday I cannot post to this forum from home. It tells me my IP has been banned (or words to that effect) and to contact the administrator. I've looked all over the forums and the ubi support but can no relevent help or contact for this problem.

I've done nothing wrong (unless you count sometimes bad my grammer http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif) So don't know why it's been banned.

I suspect they've possibly banned a range of IP's and I fall within that range, for whatever reason.

Does anyone know who to contact ? or any help at all will be appreciatted.

Maybe you had bad luck. You ISP probably delivers dynamic IPs when you connect. Look like you got one IP that was banned before. I'd just try it again first.

Nope, I'm on a permanent broadband connection and my IP stays more or less the same, I can have the same one for more than 2 weeks, sometimes weeks and weeks.

However perhaps your theory is right, that I've been allocated a new IP by my broadband provider in the last day or so and it's on a blacklist. Using that type of blacklist seems a little silly to me though, as the person that caused it to be banned will now have a different IP. They should ban you by username not IP.

I did try to force my IP to be renewed by sending a renew command from my firewall/router but it just re-allocated the same one... Grrrr http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

I'll try again when I get home from work.

Thanks for your input.
