Anyone notice that the external camera flyby the sound seems a lot quieter? The sound seems to drop off very quickly. In 1.21 Sound flyby seemed louder more realistic.

Is there any way to try and change this issue via the sound config file?? Or is this how its now meant to sound?

Cheers

It was changed because you never had the element of surprise.

Now we can bounce people.

All I need now is my Tempest V. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

And my Tempest V http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I like the approaching sound in that the engine is quiet until your ontop of it but it'd be nice if sounds moving away didn't drop so quickly...that part is annoying.

The only time that I listen to sound outside of my cockpit is when I'm hanging in a chute, anyway.

Btw what's the story behind alienware on your sig. I was planning to buy one soon, is there anything I should be aware of?

I think the reason external sounds were so loud in the first place was because of a compromise. Of course it's not realistic, but it does add some ZIP! to the whole experience, I think.

I do think it was a little over the top but man, when I cranked up the volume, it sounded like WW2 was happening in my basement!

I think imma miss the old sounds :-/

yeah sound is muffled alot, you can barley hear flak exploding next to you aaa firing or air raid sirens, even in the open cockpit i16 p11 and i153. You cant hear guns being fired at you or plane engine sounds.

But anyone can just put the old sound sfs in and it works like 1.21 which defeats the purpose of it being fixed.

Now wtf did they take manual superchargers away from the p40, it says in the readme stage one was fixed but they are auto now.

We desperatly need the 120 100 rich mix, normal mix control back for the p39 p40s p51 and p47s for low alt performance and take off accelaration.

if 1c is gunna make all superchargers auto only even on those a/c that did not have auto superchargers and take mix away on all us planes that have it even stated in thier pilot manuals then do it for all planes, why should only the russian a/c have the advantange of 120 full rich mix at lower altitudes? what should be done is return it back to that planes that should have 120-100. Its so noticable

mmm. see yur point there..

The one thing I wish over all esle is that I could visually look in my c/p of the P-51 to see where my radiator settings are. Then I could turn the hud text back off... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
