ok, I'll try and see what he says, but he is under a NDA, so I dunno how much he would disclose.

But I don't actually know him personally, I was just in the same server with him last night!!

Petrozawodsk will most certainly not be on the Murmansk Map. How could it be -- it's 800 km south of Murmansk. You don't expect such a huge map, don't you? Our biggest map so far is Gulf of Finland with (IIRC) 440 x 250 km. Here's what Ian Boys wrote somewhere else (http://www.simhq.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=98;t=010896):

quote:
I have some small influence on that map and can assure you northern Norway is covered, the southern edge runs south of Ivalo-Monchegorsk and the eastern edge is quite a way east of Vayenga.

There is mention of the map including Northern Norway.

But I wonder if in that map (well, probably not THAT map, coz it's blooming huge distance!!) we will get Tromsoe Fjord for the Tirpitz??

We have the Tirpitz, we will have carriers with FAA corsairs, and we may possibly have the Stringbag, so Tromsoe would be so cool to have!!!

Awww http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif - you'd think they would have the capital of Karelia modeled in game http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif.

Norway... now that would be fun. Many fond memories of messing around in the fjords in EF2000.

Capital of what? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/mockface.gif They didn't even model the capital of the USSR on the MOSCOW map. FB obviously is not a simulation of capitals...

Without many large towns, the map will be less demanding on your hardware. Remember how many people don't use the Gulf of Finland map because it's too demanding.

Karelia - ask any Finn and they'll tell you what it is. Yeah I guess argument with Moscow is good - I just want to defend my hometown is that too much to ask ? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
