It's been a bit since I've played. I'm curiuos what are everyone's thoughts are on multiplayer. With such a large online community, it's sad to see so few online. I think part of the problem is the missions in dogfight. Just wondering thoughts on adding objectives/points to multiplayer system with timing (i.e. similar to some popular shooters, even though CS and Dod are old still many people online. Having opposing sides carrier based with 40 minutes (or whatever) to take out 1. enemy aircraft 2. support ships 3. win if sink carrier (reset match). Similar land based could be similar 1. points for downing aircraft 2. points for aircraft on the ground and buildings destroyed and 3. destroy runway and win. Maybe give each side amore motive then straight dogfighting. Just a thought (sorry if wrong posting)...

Pointless (except for seeing how many kills you can rack up) dogfighting with its endless cycle of spawn/die/respawn gets old really quickly for me.

A good game is a game that has well defined and attainable objectives in which each player has a specific role to play. These scenarios also usually require more than a few minutes to complete but they offer so much more in my opinion.

HyperLobby is commonly filled with FB players. Sometimes upto 500-600 or even 900 players online at a single time.

Download HyperLobby here:

(and ignore the other Hyperlobby site that suggests the software is a trojan...its not and works VERY well on multiple systems with no problems - as many members can attest to).

Some servers have a set number of plane/pilot deaths, once all your plane/pilots are gone your side loses. Some will also add in ground targets and objectives, and when you add in "full real" settings it changes it from a endless cycle to a planned out strike with the eliment of surprise. In full real you have to go out and search for targets, identify them and try to get the advantage before they do.

Get into a squad that fly full real and see how fun it can be with teamwork.

I'm with initjust, I like the idea of having one life in a mission. With specific mission objectives. And everyone has to work as a team to get the job done.
