Blimey...very nice.

Looking forward to flying it - I'll just have to remember not to get my head taken off by a Hurricane's prop /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

The fighter pilot's emotions are those of a duellist - cool, precise, impersonal. He is priviledged to kill well. For if one must kill or be killed, as now one must, it should, I feel, be done with dignity. Death should be given the setting it deserves; it should never be a pettiness; and for the fighter pilot it never can be.

Ooh! Very pretty, but is the windscreen really going to be that difficult to see out of? Looks even worse than the 109 Erla hood side panels.

I like it, but from what I see, our problem is that computer hardware cannot render glass defects or tints (Yak~9 + P~47 gunsight) and the relative brightness depth of objects beyond. We may not ready for these effects yet in home PC grafix.

If the pit is submitted to Oleg by Nov.15,there is a good chance it'll be flyable in the January add-on...

At the start of WW2 the German army lacked experienced anti-aircraft gunners. The average gunner was so bad that the USSR decided to help them out. They did it by forcing some of their pilots to fly I-153 flak magnets. These planes were slow but very sturdy. This allowed German anti-aircraft gunners to get a large amount of target practice on a relatively small number of planes. Thanks to the Soviets help, by the end of the war the German anti-aircraft gunners were amoung the best in the world.</center>

Nice pics.. how does the CR. 42 fly? I mean is it as nimble, as lets say, I-16 or I-153?

wow - thats looks excellent -

if your around Xanty - you've probably been asked this many, many times, but do you think it'll make it into the add-on as a flyable (i really hope so) - it would be great to have an Axis bi-plane.

thanks for posting necro
&
well done Xanty

The CR42 was the best (and last) fighter biplane in the WW2,
it was very manouvrable but realy poor weapons. Anyway the italians had some victories vs the Hurricane on Malta and north Africa.
In the game should be better then I-153 and very good vs I-16 but with less speed.
The Hungherian use it in the east front but no the italians.

Best regards

also, as vipez asks, anyone know how well it was supposed to perform?
