One thing I see in almost every match of For Honor are disparities on either side in terms of skill, rank and gear. Perhaps 1/20 matches are actually of quality, and the rest are slaughters (and my team is the butcher). I feel as though it shouldn't be hard to develop an algorithm based on players W/L ratio, gear score, and reputation level with an individual character to form the best possible teams. There's nothing more boring than to have my team (all random, so it's not a grouping issue) with all 4 players above a rep level 10 with 108 gear score going against all grey-gear scores without rep levels.

I worked in the gaming industry briefly before moving into the government sector, so the fact Ubisoft hasn't put these factors into play is a bit mind-boggling. It would be an incredibly easy fix.

Or maybe the community likes the slaughters? I admit, I did at first.

They addressed this on the last dev stream.

The issue is that each character as an individual gear score/prestige. You are matched before you select your hero. So even though you have 3 108 gs characters doesn't mean you are going to pick them. You might use a new character just for fun. Different story when ranked mode is out :)

They'll get there. In the meantime, get your backpack and try and get your carry on.

Its really simple in my opinion....baseing off what lvl ppl are at is the worst way and you can see its effects..
IMO a better way is KDA wich can varry but will give you ppl with the same skill ...no matter what the choose in the char option screen..it can be updated once a day or after each round..
its only a matter of time till everyone hits gold anyway...then its all about the skill the player posesses...no need for other crap to be adjusted for...internet con..comp speed..monitor lag...its all there in that one figure..

Problem is I'm super lucky with the teams, and am on the opposite end xD But yes, I guess I'll just have to wait until ranked to find worthy adversaries!

Right now the team is working hard on resolving the issues with connectivity, but this is definitely in the pipeline to be addressed!

Using rep in matchmaking is pointless.The sheer number of rep 8+ assassins that are beyond terrible beggars belief. And you can't use gear score because it's pre-character select. That said, the devs have stated gear, even purple, is meant to specialise your champ but NOT give you a power advantage (outside being specialised of course). So once they get off their *** and fix that gs also won't be an issue.

Individual win/loss per character again runs into the "pre-character select" issue, but honestly that's not a huge deal either. You may not know the optimal combos on a new hero, but it's not like you suddenly forget how to parry.
