Do ya' think that we could oust that "Prince of Persia" !***! that keeps on jumpin' outa the web page every time I visit here?!?! When the page opens up and he jumps out, if I got my speakers cranked (which is almost always) the noise is so loud & appalling I just about bust a log in my computer chair every time I hear it. My wife two floors up knows when I come to visit you 'cause she can hear it up there too! Sorry if I offended any of you "Prince of Persia" fans (YEAH RIGHT)....this is Major Catastrophe....signing OFF

Ubi must have a popup ad for PoP that I never see. because I'm using Mozilla.

www.mozilla.org, (http://www.mozilla.org,) 1.5 is about a 12 meg download, and it's a better browser than Explorer in many respects. Notably, tabbed browsing - perfect for forums - and a popup blocker. It also has a mail client with a spam filter. Explorer will get some sort of popup blocking in WinXP SP2, but early reviews say it wont be as powerful.

That said, Prince of Persia (PS2 reviewed) is a gorgeous game in all respects; graphics, sound and animation. I did a little wall-running and almost microwaved my Enter the Matrix disc after seeing it done right. If you *hate* run and jump games with puzzles in them, pass. If you'll tolerate that for a good fighting engine, try it. If you like platformers, go get this right away. If you'd like to see what Enter the Matrix could have been, rent it - add guns and animate some martial arts moves and this would be the definitive Matrix-style videogame.

Options are:

1) Wait for Windows XP SP1 and use the new IE pop-up blocker.
2) Get Google Toolbar and disable everything else except the popup blocker (well enable whatever features you want really)
3) Use Mozilla or Netscape 7.1 and use the integrated blocker. Pop-up ads are effectively dead on my machine...

I've always meant to compliment you on your sig mllaneza, it's been by far the best sig I've seen in any forum. Strikes a chord of irony that I really appreciate and the subtle humor is dead on http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Mozilla is highly recommended by me too. It's all the good stuff from IE (which is...err..buttons, menus, and that internet-thing) and none of the bad things. Ever had trouble keeping the status bar on? Not in mozilla.

And the pop-up blocker is like a condom for geeks!

LOL I've never seen any of this on any machine here at work or home or elsewhere. If this isn't fishing then get spybot http://www.safer-networking.org/ and get rid of your background spyware that is obviously running and ruining your day.
