View Full Version : [PC] ANNO 1602 - Problem with Save game

03-26-2017, 03:05 AM

I really appreciate that Anno 1602 was added to the Shop.
But I have the feeling the game doesn't save my progress.
I pressed on the Harddisk symbol ingame. A sound appears "You're game is saved"
There is no chance to load my save game afterwards, though.
On the computer under savegames of Uplay is no file for Anno 1602.
Is there way Ubisoft can fix this bug or does someone has a method to fix it

Short: I can't save my game,I tried many ways to load it and I also can't find the file on my computer.

Thank you in advance.

Exactly the same problem here. I already tried to install Anno 1602 in different locations - no change.
I use Windows 10 x64

hey guys,
got the same Problem, u just need to create a new folder named Savegame in the game folder and then it works.
Like this:
F:\Program Files (x86)\Anno 1602\Ger\Savegame

Works just fine.

I can´t find the scenarios from the editor in the game. Do I have to create a folder for that, too?

So, to be able to make, save, load and play your own scenarios, you have to create another mapfile with the name "Own Scenarios".

Hi everyone,

I bought Anno 1602 in the Store yesterday, and I just had the same problem... I wanted to load the saved game, but nothing happens. I tried to create the folders but that did not solve the problem for me. So right now I can't save the game and the game is somehow useless without saving. I do not have time to play a whole day to avid saving...

Has anyone an idea?

Thanks and regards

Find the game location on your computer

New folder named SAVEGAME with capital letters.

Launch the editor and then press Shift+L. This will allow you to open a save game or scenario directly in the editor.

Scenarios are in the "szenes" folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Anno 1602\Eng\Szenes).

Save games are in the "SAVEGAME" folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Anno 1602\Eng\SAVEGAME).

You also have to select the missionen (*.SZS *.GAM) file format once you're in the load menu of the editor before you can actually see the save game and scenario files appear in the menu.

Hope this helps.
