View Full Version : Ubisoft, let's address server connectivity and stop avoiding the elephant

Ubisoft, Ubisoft, Ubisoft.

*Brings hands together deep in thought and inhales deeply*

For Honor is a great game, but EVERY SINGLE COMPLAINT is about server connectivity issues.
-Fix servers dropping clients.
-Fix servers not being able to find matches.
-Matches shouldn't have to 'resynchronize' whenever someone leaves. No other multiplayer game has to do this.
-There needs to be a dedicated and custom server list.

I want this game to be great, and it is, but it's ruined by Ubisoft pushing a half completed game (server wise). Seriously. If you want your games to be successful you have to push a strong server foundation from your side. Especially when you're trying to gouge people of $100 for a single game.

These server issues need to be resolved immediately, not just for me but for you Ubisoft. As people play the game and become frustrated with the servers they'll drop the game like NoMan'sSky. People will start to leave negative reviews and people wont buy the game because they'll read these reviews. Less people playing leads to the game dying out. If the game dies out, you, Ubisoft, lose out on potential sales.

Get more than one guy working on patching the game and start rolling out frequent daily server side fixes and updates.

Sincerely, someone who loves For Honor, but you're pushing his limits with these shoddy servers.

No, no.
You arent connected to a server while playing, but to another player that is chosen as the host (called peer to peer connection). If that host has crappy net speed, you experience lag. When the host leaves the game, theres two possibilities. A new host is chosen (thats what happens when it re-syncs) and if that fails, everyone gets kicked out with an error message. The reason why no other game does this is because no other new game relies on p2p anymore. Thats the whole issue, ditch p2p and install dedicated gameservers.
You got it wrong op, there are no servers where you play on. The "server" (or host) is chosen out of the 8 players that the matchmaker connected.

The servers are ruining this wonderful game. It is really annoying. Fix them or the game wont get the recognition it deserves

Again, there are NO gameservers. The matches are hosted by players and NOT a dedicated server.
