This week’s State of the Game provides insight into some of the changes that were made following the conclusion of the PTS.

There was a maintenance (http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1579404-Maintenance-February-16th-COMPLETE) this morning to perform the usual duties.

Most of what was experienced during PTS 4 reflects what Update 1.6 and Last Stand will be. We continued to do more bug fixing and addressed the combination of using DeadEye with the higher RPM Marksman Rifles. The following change was made:

The DeadEye 4 piece bonus will now only work with scopes that fully zoom in. This means that it will no longer work with scopes such as the Red Dot Sight.

We are aware of the complaints regarding general delays in the game. The server and latency issues are being looked into, but it’s important that we distinguish what the potential cause of an issue is. If you are experiencing delay in your skills, med kits, damage, etc, please submit a bug report on the forums (http://forums.ubi.com/forumdisplay.php/1024) with as much detailed information as possible.

Finally, you definitely want to hang on to any weekly assignment caches that you collect before Update 1.6. Any weekly assignment caches that you collect before Update 1.6 will be updated and drop Exotic items when the update is released. Hang on to them!


Update 1.6 and Last Stand have been sent off to the first parties, Sony and Microsoft, for submission. We don’t have a release date just yet and will know more when the first parties have reviewed everything.

Finally, we want to make it clear that Last Stand is not the end for The Division. We will continue to update the game and will provide more information at a later point.


Skill Power Balancing

There has been a lot of talk within the community regarding changes to skill power that will be part of Update 1.6. We want to reiterate that these changes are made to reward those who heavily invest into the attribute and remove the ability to have powerful skills with little/no investment. If your build used a lot of skill power in Update 1.5, you will be more rewarded with very powerful skills in 1.6. The performance vs. skill power investment curve has been improved to make the progression of your skill strength more visible and feel more rewarding. We also made the cooldown reduction aspect of skill power less impactful to highlight the improvement that has been made to Skill Haste as an attribute. Skill Haste should be the go to attribute if you want to lower cooldowns.
