This must seem really stupid but if I try following the audio instructions to 'Vector 320'or similar, how exactly do I do that? If I try using my compass to get a heading 320, I'm immediately told off and ordered to get back on course. Could be the instructions are for another flight, perhaps, but am I missing something obvious?

Yeah, other flights. Very annoying.

Check out the threads in olegs ready room about radio chatter. Bump one. Maybe Oleg will make some changes in the coming add-on.

One of the real weak points in FB is the canned voice coms.

They never say who they are or to whom they are speaking (the correct form would be "White Leader vector three two zero").

There are a very limited nunber of voices, so, for example, the number two aircraft in every flight sounds exactly the same.

The British voice pack is by far the best, but it is still tied to the FB model (has to be, I suppose), so it is limited in its accuracy.

The onen that grates me the most is : "Bandits, two o'clock." Two o'clock from whom??? And which way is whom headed. And the correct call is "This is Blue Leader, tally bandits right two o'clock two miles high" (the acronym BRA covers it: Bearing, Range Altitude).

There didn't appear to be any effort by Saint Oleg to make this aspect of the sim accurate.

"I want the one that kills the best with the least amount of risk to me"

put on auto-pilot so the AI takes you to the target. Once the action begins, turn off the AI pilot and take matters into your own hands

Don't forget it's an Eastern front sim, so the pilots are usually either Russian or German.
Mind you I'm not trying to say the voices in FB are correct, just that I doubt they used the term "tally" and so on...

I think the correct form for Russian pilots would be:
"This is a humble servant of our great leader Stalin, four Fascist pigs at 12 o'clock high. Attack for the glory of the motherland!" http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
