i dont remember what game was nor what plane maybe cfs2 but whats the point of a water injection, how can that improve performance?

Raaaid - not sure of all the details, but I believe injecting water into the cylinders cools the fuel/air mixture resulting in better power...

While the link provided by ELEM is very interesting, the short answer is:

Supercharging and turbocharging make the fuel/air mix too hot, which in combination with high compression ratios causes predetonation and premature engine failure. Adding water or water/methanol vapour to the mix cools it down (and in the latter case raises the octane rating) reducing the tendancy to predonate. This allows higher combustion chamber pressures and consequently higher power outputs without destroying the engine.

Also, water injection can allow you to take advantage of better ignition curves without detonation
