Having bad experiences with timeouts.

Not sure what is going on.

I've done 1.22 to 2

I've done 1.0 to 2

Only certain people timeout - not everyone

It might not make any sense but it seems to be a sound issue. For starters disable sound in FB setup. You should be able to stay connected but if not disable your sound hardware in windows and work your way up from there.

I have a T3 connection (at home! hihihi) and I am connected at 100.0Mbps (more like 3-4Mb down, 7-8 up or so in tests)...and I am still timing out...
And something funny...when I get in a dogfight near a "bad ping" flyer, I start stalling with no warning...even in the most gentle turns...forget timing out...this "lag stalling" is driving me nuts sometime.

I dont have AEP yet, so I havent tested this, but I read in someones post that they copied the net settings from their 1.22 config file to the new one and that seemed to fix it.
