Wish I could dish out the cash for a 9800 pro after seeing the post for $199, but I have a good friend that's hooking me up with a 9500 pro for a good price - $125. So, my question is that now I have a piece of crap vid card (Gforce 2 MX 64MB - what a joke eah http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif) runnin on a P4 1.6GHz @400FSB with 512MB DDR2100, so will my new ATI 9500 pro boost my performance effectively without having to upgrade my processor?? I have already posted my DXdiag a while back to try and fix all the stutters and freeze-frames and updated all drivers I was told which helped out some, but still no cigar. So I'm hoping the 9500 pro will hook me up on that cigar http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Yeppers! Great price on that 9500 Pro. Make sure you are getting the Pro version though. Next I'd upgrade the CPU. You are not just looking for more MHz. but you want more chache as well (ideally).

Hey Bear, were you pleased with the 9500 pro before you went with the 9800?? I can't wait to put this baby in.....should get it by this weekend! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif i would go bigger like a 9800, but for the price i can't turn it down.
