Who Would Purchase A US Collectors Edition?
Just select if you want it or not, and then post only once below for people that want it. Perhaps if we get enough posts by individual users, they may offer it to us in some form or another.

Remember post only once, and if you wish, you may include your location.

I would most definitely buy a CE.
I'm actually considering getting the UK one, if one is not released in the US.

I would. I am from Canada and I can not locate a CE up here. I call UBI and they said there was no plans for a North American release so far. If there is anyone from Canada that knows where to purchase the CE version here. Please post a link.

If a CE hasn't come out by the time Revelation is released next month, I'm ordering it from the closest country that has it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I hope that the CE is available in Canada soon. Shipping from Canada to the US is a lot cheeper than from the UK for those of us that are in the US http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I would pay anything for a collection of all the games if it included Uru and such that was compatable with the MAC.

When I'm good, I'm great.
When I'm bad, I'm better.

I read that Ubi was not going to offer the CE in the US because the Myst 3 CE didn't do too well here. It was probably because most reviews said the game was too short and too easy, and there were way too many screenshots and spoilers released to hype the game.

HEY UBI, in case you hadn't noticed, people are asking you to sell them a more expensive version of the same product!!! Same game, different box, and a few extras thrown in(you already spent the money to produce the music and whatever else you have in there, so why not put it on CD for us and jack up the price a few dollars?!?!). I'll bet the Myst 3 CE sold a hell of a lot better than the individual soundtrack. Wanna' know why? You've got what, 2 weeks before the scheduled ship date?...make it happen. You really dropped the ball on this one. Give the US the collectors edition. It's not good to piss off one of your primary markets.

Caligo, I've tried. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

And what do you mean by one of Ubi's primary markets? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Khatie, Ubi does business in a lot of different countries. All of the buyers and potential buyers of a product make up the market for that product. This market is then divided, as many times as you want, into segments. If you divide the market for Myst 4 into smaller geographic regions(not necessarily countries, but regions that are made up of people with similar buying trends and spending habits), you may come up with something like the US, UK, Canada, France, etc. The US represents a segment of this market and it probably represents a significant percentage of sales for Ubi. I used market when it would have been technically accurate to say market segment, but in common usage it gets shortened. Was that what you were looking for?

I consider myself a Primary Market http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
I buy too much stuff. And I would certainly buy a CE. I have a squee mounted on my computer top right now! All my friends want him, but he's MINE!! MINE!!!!
