That guy is incredibly stupid. It said on the audio that he just bought the thing and had never flown one before. Idiots like that make me feel really smart. that made my day.

It's hard for me to feel sorry for that guy who would be foolish enough to fly such a demanding machine without really knowing anything about it. Where did you get that clip?

"The Eyeties are comparatively easy to shoot down. Oh, they're brave enough. In fact, I think the Eyeties have more courage than the Germans, but their tactics aren't so good. They are very good gliders, but they try to do clever acrobatics and looping. But they will stick it even if things are going against them, where as the Jerries will run." Beurling in Malta Spitfire

The Germans had a fly off inside a building against a storch flown by Hanna Riech or what ever her name was and the storch won, the Germans used to tow a gyrocopter behind uboats to spot for it, but if they had a prob they would crash dive, bet that was a ride and a half in your AutoGyro.../i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

lol, I just posted on the spit thread about it being fake, and now I see this clip =) The enginuity of some people is just great!

Come on guys, have you never downloaded those funne little clips before where enormously crazy and impossible things happen? Like the guy kung-fu fighting with grizzlys or the cat that gets his claw stuck on the cieling fan and gets ejected into the wall? lol

That helocopter is (was) a model. Look at the clip again.

You're joking right?

I have a video tape of Helicopter accidents that I used to instruct safety classes with when I was in the AF.

I have this very same video on that tape, among some other very gory and mind boggling ones.

Anyway...that is a real video and the dumb arse was not suppose to apply power to the Helo.

I've never figured out why he was left alone in the first place.

I've got a picture of an US Army prototype helicopter doing a publicity fly-over around the Capitol building in 1942. It looks rickety and wouldn't lift more than the pilot and his pack of Lucky's.
