sorry if this has been asked before, but...

would it be possible to add the option wherein one could "call" it's friendly base to request a vector to same, be it land or sea based? would be most helpful especially in open waters if one's carrier is on the move...

Well , the issue of radio silence and the tactical methods of return navigation have been discussed, in fact, in one of those threads I posted an article from FlightJournal mag. about the way US Navy pilots were aided back to the boat.Not sure how many realism options PF will have though..or what those will be.

This feature exists in Forgotten Battles at any rate...

one thing i would love to see is a 'drift' factor, since over the open ocean it is impossible to tell how far off course you are, they could have instead of an icon when you are out of site of a land mark, a circle or something to indicate that you dont know exactly where you are.
