I was playing online today and flying in the He-111 aiming to bomb advanced warning radar stations. I spent 15-20 min climbing to my bombing altitude of 3000 meters and had crossed over into enemy territory and searched for the target. I soon spotted it and got on the correct bomb run. I had my eye to the bombsite and had everything inputed correctly. These bombs were going right on target. As I neared the target the flak started to intensify. There were 90mm shells exploding all around the blitz bomber but I wasn't worried, just another routine mission. Right before I went to hit the automated bomb sight a flak shell blew up infront of my plane and sent shrapnel through the cockpit glass and into me, the bombadier. All that work for nothing. Sometimes the fighters arn't your biggest worries http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif. There were some words exchanged between me and my monitor after that one. I know I'll be back at the yoke again in 10 minutes though, that's why I love this game.

If there are ground-targets, I usually try to fly JaBo's and attack the air-defense (SEAD). FlaK wasn't very accurate at higher altitudes and it isn't in IL2, but at 3000m FlaK can be very deadly, especially when you're on the bombrun and no longer evading.

Sorry, wasn't there to clear the way for you http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
