I was just playing last night (sunday 11) everything was fine. I have the settings at ultra, ultra textures, only thing not on is extra detail (was at 50 and only lost a few fps, but off now)
was getting 60 fps with the settings, i turn it on today (mon morning 12) and the game is only getting 45 fps now.

not sure what has changed, but i needs changed back.

...and just when i was have a small (read very small) hope ubisoft was doing some things right. as the game was running wonderfully.

EDIT:

So i loaded the game back up. I went back into the settings, video, and defaulted the first page(display)
I then went in to the quality settings and had it auto detect my settings. it set everything to ultra again.
I then turned back on temporal filtering, htfs shadows, pixel density back up to 1.25, and the game is running at 60fps again(with a 1-2 tolerance)

I thought back to yesterday(sunday) and remembered i did the same thing then, but i was already trying to find the most optimal setting so did not realize that the settings to frame rate was not holding upon reloading the game.

more updates please!

i7 6700k (4.6ghz)

all up to date

Hi smokauweeds and welcome to the Forums!

This is something the team is currently investigating. We will be sure to post any updates on this matter to our Known Issues (http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1519636-Known-Issues-List-Updated-12-02-2016) thread.

In the meantime, we suggest performing a clean installation of your graphics drivers (https://support.ubi.com/en-gb/faqs/000025720/Nvidia-Driver-Clean-Installation/).

Please enlight me.
After the pc 1.07 wd2 patch i indeed have performance decrease compare to 1.06 ( too bad i cant roll back to 1.06 patch now.. )

While, i have no performance changement with the others games i play ( gta5 - black desert online - dying light - MGSV- Juste cause 3.. and somes other ) how come doing a "nvidia driver "reset" install would magicaly solve WD2 issues, when nothing is wong with any single other games.

Stop spread cheap "solution" the fault is coming from the game / the patch.

Are you still experiencing these problems, smokauweeds?

Nvidia recently released a driver update which might assist in addressing the issues you are facing.

Thanks for responding.

So I just made sure everything was up to date. (it is)

But yes this is still an issue. I just turned the game on, was getting 45 fps, re ran the auto detect, its selects ultra. I then turn the shadows back to hfts, ambient occlusion to hbao+, and have to turn the temporal filtering on, (i get about 55 fps if its off) also i am using the ultra textures. and with the temporal filtering on i use the nvidia dsr. (i just started using the dsr, i had the problem prior to its use.

once the auto detect has run, everything is smooth at 60 fps again(with a plus\minus of 1 fps)

Once you change something in graphic settings and apply it fps going back to normal. After apply you can go back to the graphic settings and tune everything up how it was before. Fps stays the same as before like it was normally. No reduced fps. It has something to do with the settings. Something is changing it somehow after every start of the game.
