Hi there, steveep1974,

Welcome to the forums!

Can you try the following?:

Open your Control Panel, and make sure to uninstall anything which is related to Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.

Once this is done, please download and install the following files :

Microsoft Visual C++ 2005: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=21254
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ils.aspx?id=29

Hi people.

Some one figured it out on reddit:

It did work for me.

I also had random crashes after 10 minutes of playing the game just closes on me and then the uplay window for Steep pops up and says "syncing files ... etc" and then opens uplay like nothing happend. And it also doesn't register my time played.. I mean before even if i had a game open for just 1 minute it would say some stats.. Here it doesn't track anything. I also reinstalled Uplay, but that didn't help.

My Specs:
Windows 10 64 bit
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 S1150 Motherboard
Intel I5-4590
16GB Corsair Vengeance
Zotac GTX 970 4GB

The Game and Uplay are on an HDD and my OS is on an SSD
My drivers and the game are updated (Graphicscard ,USB-Hardware and Windows)

PS: Do you get the same message with the save files syncing or anything like that? Or just a normal crash to desktop?

Do you have a shared space in windows? Like 2 HDDs running in raid 0?

lol never buy another Ubi title or new title for that matter, until its on sale and scrubbed, added patches, sufficient drivers. im in same boat, ridiculous good hardware and clean software, runs like absolute craaaaaap. Pops and stutters, hangs, crashes. WEEEEEEE!!!

I have had the same issue for the last couple of days. After the major outage last week it worked perfectly over the weekend and then with no changes it didn't again. After 5-10 mins it crashes back to U-Play and shows sync'ing data.

No logic or repeatable cause.
