View Full Version : Recommended Background Music Choice

My brother Ali and I grew up playing Prince Of Persia and other video games. We're half Persian. He got into playing AC:III and loved it so much, he gave me his ps3 and told me to play it. I never got around to it but then ever since my brother died a few months ago, I wanted to go back and honor him and remember him by playing Assassin's Creed again. But since I'm more into Italian Renaissance than American Revolution, I decided to wait for the Ezio Collection to come out to buy it and a ps4 so I can fully enjoy the experience.

In the meantime while I waited for it to come out, I started doing some studying about Italian and Roman History. I came across a STARZ original series called "Da Vinci's Demon's" and I watched it. It was mainly about Florence. I highly recommend watching it for anyone who wants to celebrate Florentine culture, the Renaissance and of course Leonardo Da Vinci.

The Soundtrack to the Da Vinci's Demon's series is a great choice for listening to as background gaming music for the Assassin's Creed: Ezio Collection because it has Renaissance era influences of course but isn't just a bunch of lutes, flutes and cellos. It's got orchestral and electronic epic elements as well which all attribute to the gaming experience that you kind of get with the AC:OST but it's nice to hear something different but SO similar in style and effect. The artist is Bear McReary. I recommend playing the 1st season with the first game in the collection and 2nd season with Brotherhood and 3rd with Revelations as they have similar plots to the games.

You can find the Da Vinci's Demon's OST on Spotify for background play on ps3 and ps4

Have Fun!

Also, the Spartacus series OST might be a good alternative.

Anyone have any feedback or input?
