Back on topic: It also depends on the game. I can play Vice City with the light on no prob. But I'm gonna play DOOM3 with the lights out, at midnight, and with the sound cranked up. (plus I'll have so extra underwear with me)

Agh..I cant stand scary games. Well, atleast the horror ones. DOOM is scary as hell, but it makes you come back for more. Silent Hill and RE on the other hand..you'll never want to come back after having the bejeezis scared out of you.

I know I should, but I don't play any games with lights on. My eyes are probably going to give out on me one of these days -from the looks of all the replies here, it doesn't seem that I'm going to be alone in this. Lol.

Splinter Cell just has to be played in the dark -it sets such a mood for it.

scary games, as in horror games havent ever scared me. But things like SplinterCell do sometimes. If its dark and all of a sudden some goon popos out firing an Ak-74 at me, that freaks me out and gets my hair standing up...

yeah but thats more adrenaline and jumps, rather than "god i dont wanna KNOW what is round that corner!"

believe me, nothing much scares me and it takes alot to freak me out, but SH2 is a game i WILL NOT TOUCH till i am certain it isnt going to scar me for the rest of my life (not that it hasnt done that already)

believe me, usa, try playin SH2 in the dark, on your own at night, and you will know the feeling of true fear!
