Haytham, by a mile.

Then, in no particular order-

Shay
Shakhulu
Starrick
Savanarola
Cesare (wow, one whose name doesn't begin with "s")
Thorne
Berg

Haytham is everyone's go-to Templar.

Anyway my list goes (to make it more interesting):

Prince Ahmet
Torres
Thomas Hickey
John Pitcairn
Jubair
Starrick (though I like more what he represents than himself)

Honorable Mentions: Otso Berg, Rodrigo Borgia ( entrance game was on fire), Warren Vidic, (Comic) Daniel Cross, William Johnson and Melanie Lemay

Haytham Kenway without a doubt.

My other favourites would be Elise and Starrick, but they don't come close to Haytham.

Haytham!!!!!

Then Robert De Sable and Warren Vidic.

Oh Cesare Borgia could have been great but his portrayal was closer to this https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/f5/25/a5/f525a5438ace828949be40f2f290bc69.jpg

than to a remotely serious character.

PS LOVE comic Cross HATE its AC III counterpart. And if this was villians in general, Black Bart Roberts would be second only to Haytham.

2 things to say about this. First of all, Savonarola wasn't a Templar. He was just a simple man that wanted to change the world around him as what he wanted it to be.

Also, who is Thome? You mean Thomas Hickey? ^-^

He wrote ThoRNe, not Thome. As in Lucy Thorne from Syndicate.

Ah ok. Thanks for the explanation. On my tv screen, when I am in the forum of ubisoft, I'm never sure if whats wrote is RN or just m. I also forgot about Lucy Thorn. :p

William Robert Woodman (not 100% sure he's Templar, but he ought to be given that he was an Assassin's target and he recognised who was stalking him)
Pearl Attaway
Starrick
Roth
Benjamin Hornigold
Rodrigo Borgia
Juan Borgia
Juan Borgia's underpants (outerpants? idk)

Haytham all the way!

And then theres Thomas Hickey.

And maybe a little bit of Starrick :p

AND ROTH!!

Was Roth even a member? He seemed more like an ally as terms like crime lord or anarchist fit more in line with him particularly.

I think he actually was, but he betrayed Starrick after seeing the Frye kill his henchmen one after another. ^-^

The wiki describes him as an associate; which makes more sense since I really don't know how the Templar philosophy really identifies with him... of course there's been members, like Hickey, that have also been involved in the Order for their own self-interests.

I suppose Roth fits in that category as well.

Fair enough- though that's basically like saying whatever enemies we get in Empire (if it is ancient Egypt) aren't Templars either. Officially they aren't, sure. But unofficially, they have similar ideologies.

Haytham is overrated IMO. I only liked him for half of AC3, and none of Rogue (where he had none of the suaveness that made him cool in the first place).

For me...

Garnier de Naplouse
William of Montferrat
Rodrigo Borgia
John Pitcairn
Benjamin Hornigold
Woodes Rogers

My favorite Templar is Starrick. My favorite antagonists are Al-Mualim, Savonarola, Roberts and Starrick, only 1 out of 4 of which is a Templar.

I feel like Manuel Palaiologos deserves an honorable mention, not because he was a memorable character in any way, but because he was ballsy enough to fight Ezio in the end. Sure, he went down like a sack of potatoes, but still, he tried :p Really, he was the only target in the Ezio games who canonically did so, outside of the final bosses.

What, no love for Shahkulu who was so bad-*** that he fought Ezio after being assassinated? :p

There's also Dante Moro.

Eh, I chalk up Shahkulu's survival to Ezio's old age and bad aim ;)

As for Dante, he and Silvio can technically be killed via assassination before they get to the ship, so IMO he can't really be said to have canonically fought Ezio.

Edit- unless you mean the carnival game thing?

Well... still, he fought the guy :p

No, I mean the thing where you have to fight him on the streets of Venice two times before Silvio orders retreat.

Wow. Yeah, I totally forgot he was even in that scene. Although, it could be said that Dante wasn't even technically a target...

(this is me trying to weasel my way out of being proven wrong) :p
