Welcome dear friends to this introductory post about Inolin, a new world based on the principles of might and magic games. This “project” is but a mere idea of how we envision a new heroes game to be. For all its coherency and simplicity on some regards, establishing a finite world for might and magic and exploring its known past instead of its future for so many game sequels has been confining enough. We propose a new world, where the only constrictions are the basic lore and structure of the factions. But, even the factions offer a vast customization with 12 base creatures each… yeah, the 7 tier system is back, with a twist. Trying to combine older heroes games tier systems, we used the heroes IV system of choosing units, with the ToTE alternate upgrades system, along with the new “iconic unit” feature to provide a new tier system. From the 7 tiers, two have one unit that has alternate upgrades, while all the others have two creatures to choose one with one upgrade each.
This and many more await you if you wish to check this massive endeavor of ours out. Please, be free to give feedback, ideas, thoughts and whatever you deem worthy of mentioning, but! Keep in mind that you also need to objectify your thoughts with a good “why” or “because”.

We have already created 11 factions!

Thank you, and we hope to hear your feedback, so please, do step right through this portal:

So you basicaly want to create another Heroes game from this current one ? ?

You can say that this is kind of the case, yeah. Basically, what we propose can be summed up to this:
1. An abstract story line, given as stories around a campfire, where only the creators imagination is the limit of what he can create. Thus, the game can provide its main campaign stories but map makers can also create their own stories freely, unburdened by constricting lore.
2. A true amalgamation of previous heroes games while providing more units to choose from, more customization, better abilities, more strategy, more diverse factions while still maintaining an identity or a theme.
3. Creating another game that is not set in Ashan? Yeah, because Ashan has not moved forward, only backwards, becoming even more lore driven in each manifestation. That is not bad, but still, it takes away the mystery, the wow moments of stories you don't know how they will turn out. Inolin can provide that by having only hints of a history, while the blanks are filled by individual stories told. Legends do not have to be based on truth ;)
-Different game than Heroes VII? Also yeah. Heroes VII oversimplified things. And while this is not a very bad thing, having the same ability or very simple abilities is not a good thing. Having similar lineups is also not a good thing. Having factions that remain mostly the same, is kind of boring after a while. So, i guess yeah, we would prefer a game with just 4 factions each with 12 units, good mechanics, interesting abilities, a good skill system over a game with many factions that feel the same and a sub-par skill and mechanics system.

But, all things considered, we can only propose ideas... we are not programmers or game designers... We can only pour our soul into providing this "project" in hopes that it will be seen and heard, and maybe one day be made manifest.
