Hi every one !

Could any one please help me ?

What's the deal with the music at IL-2 FB ? I tryed to get this thing working but beeing a computer beginner just
had no good results.
Here is what i did:

Went into IL-2 Samples/Music/In Flight directory and added the song that i wanned to hear. This song archive was an original MP-3 , so i had to change it fron MP-3 to a
wav file.I did the convertion using the "all converter"
program that i have here.

The result was:

When in flight the song started to play but it played for
about ten seconds and came back to begining and kept doing
it. No matter what i tryed at the sound settings coud not fix this "mistery".I also tryed another souds [could be a defect with that specific sound] but i had the same results.

Any help is wellcome !!!

I've had the exact same problem...been trying to figure it out for like a month now...and have asked the same question. Hopefully, someone can shed some light on this. It's not a huge deal, just an annoyance, but just the same, I'd like it fixed. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Any help out there guys?

Alright, here's how it works. First shut off the in-game music. Make a playlist of the songs you want, and play them on media player or winamp or whatever. Than start the game. Viola!

Actually, EmpireRuler13 is not far off here - after struggling with this a while back for a long time, I finally burned everything onto a CD and just play it while I'm flying - (also sounds great in the car, zooming along with the top down and my Sturmovik tunes blaring - get some really weird looks from some folks).

The only semi-official answer I remember seeing in the previous threads while I was fooling with the in-game solution was that it may have something to do with starting over again as you reach waypoints - I never tested that theory for sure, but the music restarts did seem to be worse soon after take-off, when there are often several waypoints within short distances of each other.

IIRC, there was also something strange about the "in-flight" music not working if you air start (as in QMB) (I think it plays the take-off music instead, or did in the original IL-2, anyway, IIRC).

Unfortunately, I guess the music feature is pretty far down the priority list of things to fix in the patches so it never seems to get fixed - too bad, too, since it's kind of a neat feature. But, as EmpireRuler13 suggested, you can always go with an "external" solution - which also has the benefit of not adding to the system burdens and risking stutters etc.
