Just marvel at how we are going to feel the contact with the snow in this game. Look at all those snow angels he makes!

The level of challenge is what made Skate so replayable / shareable. If it's hard to do well, and even harder to do again.. then people look.

It looks like every limb really has deformation handles. Just nice.

I hope they do the landings like in Skate 3 with the characters mass pushing the character down a little bit. From what I have seen so far, the landing impacts are non-existent and the character seems to have the weight of a piece of paper when landing.

Limbs and poles, and skis and boards the lot! I really like how "flicky" it is, especially in the second one.. great momentum.

As for the impact shock, totally agree Trials. They are lacking impact weight after a crash.. but more significantly for me, when riding. There's little reverb after a huge jump for example.

That what I meant. The landing impact after a successful jump. In Skate 3, or Amped, you could always feel the landings better as a player because there was a better reaction to the body impulse pushing you down into you knees.

Ah cool

So Amped is just a bigger impact animation that plays out whenever you drop from above a certain height. I think Steep has enough physics going on that they could exaggerate their character animations and the physics modelling side of it, to have the player feel impacts more than they presently do. That and remove the black and white filter which I've been over already

Yes, also Skate does a much better job in 'simulating' players mass, especially at landings.

Steep in its current state is very arcade in this aspect.
Not sure if that is enough to draw players in, because people playing this game will have some winter sports under their belt. Also paragliding when turning there is no inertia and it looks Super Mario style gameplay with instant reaction.

Like here in the video:
Especially the jump at 6:15min and the landing. That's not good enough.
