78 Missions into my IL-2 campaign and I get the Map File Not Found message. How do I work around this and save my campaign? Thanks in advance.

This may be DGen's ingenious way of telling you that the campaign is over.

What did it do, send me to a desk job?

Really, is there a workaround for this? Has anyone else encountered this?

I was doing the IL-2 Grand Campaign and I was into the Crimea '42 campaign. I was Top Gun in my Zvdeno with 25 kills. We had just raided a port and I got crippled by AAA. I nursed the plane back to my airfield and both me and the gunner bailed. I quit in the usual way, hit apply and boom! MAP FILE NOT FOUND.

HELP!!!

I'm quite sorry but you may have to re-install. Just say that since you were so successful, they withdrew you from VVS service to remain a hero and not get killed.

No, you were ordered to meet the People's Comissar himself in a banquet where he wants to congratulate you personally....

...and gives you a paid vacation in his villa http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Make a copy of the campaign and start playing around with the copy.

1) Open up the campaign data file. Don't remember its name, but you should be able to find it easily enough. Start the same campaign again as a different pilot and compare teh two data files to see if the original got corrupted. You might be able to fix it.

2) Delete the bad mission and see if it will generate a good one in its place.
