I need something, and I'll give something in return.

http://www.fighterjerks.com needs a theme. Something hip, cool, radical, and just plain unboring.

In return, you'll get all the fame and glory of being a site administrator, which happens to pay VERY WELL if you know where to spend dustbunnies. I'll also contribute lots of spirit and enthusiasm to your retirement fund. Yay you!

Besides these amazing benefits, you'll also get first dibs on any leftover parts that don't get super-glued to my cockpit.

How could you say "no" to this?

Seriously though: I do need an artists touch and since the site is non-profit, I can only offer you administration privledges and a solid reference (building a portfolio?).

This is exactly how I got my start... except I was scripting for free at a now-defunct chat site. Now I'm the BOFH at a huge ISP with zero certifications http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">
My Specs (read 'em and weep):
* Automatically grinds whole beans before brewing
* Fully programmable 24 hours in advance
* Brew Pause feature lets you enjoy a cup before brewing has finished
* Automatically shuts off when brewing is complete
* Grind-off feature for brewing ground coffee
* 1-4 cup feature to accommodate coffee for one
* 10-cup double-wall insulated thermal carafe to keep your coffee hot long after brewing
* Gold tone commercial-style permanent filter eliminates the need to buy coffee filters
* Charcoal water filter removes impurities from the water
* Separate grinder chamber and filter area allow for easy cleanup
* Limited 3-year warranty
</pre>

Hmmm, what exactly do you mean by 'theme'? Do you mean like a site banner or something?

A banner, color scheme, and some icons for the topics.

You may or may not need to know a bit of php. The last time I had dealings with php-nuke, you had to know a little bit of php in order to create a theme, but that may have changed.

If the artwork is good, I'll handle the php. I just suck at making things pretty (but I can sure tear some stuff to pieces!).

I recommend contacting Olli_72 ( F19_Olli72 )
He is now also one of the mods on screenshot art .com

I have never seen this kind of lighting in screenies before. I used to teach art and have tried to replicate his work, but I seem to be too stupid http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif
look at his latest screenie on this forum (scroll down):

Ya know, if you make an offer like this on any other gaming forum, you'll get swamped by high-schoolers looking to make an online name for themselves.

This community is too full of adults http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif
