Hi,

I've just made myself a nice new set of rudder pedals out of an old steering wheel, and they work a charm. However no matter what i try, im unable to make the X45 i have be the first controller in the list and thus change the dead zone in FB because the steering wheel/rudder pedals are set as the first controller. I need to swap them around and make the X45 ID1 and vice versa with the peddles. I may just be missing something really obvious, but how do i change this,

Thanks in advance /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

What OS Are you using? I'm guessing XP, If so you will have to manually adjust the dead zone in the conf.ini file.

If you're using WinXP you can't assign controller ID#'s like you could in Win98. If your system wants to see the the rudder pedals as ID#1, there's nothing you can do to change this.

This means you can't use the IL2FB input device configuration screen to use custom joystick settings, but you can change the value's in the config.ini file to calibrate the ID#2 controller.

Hi,

Yeah im using XP. So some smart MS guy removed the Win 9x/ME id feature... smart move guys. Thanks for the tips on the conf.ini file. What line do i need to change in here to increase the dead zone for the ID2 joystick.

Thanks again /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I don't have FB at this computer, but in the conf.ini for the IL-2 Demo there is a group of entries under [rts_joystick], perhaps this is what you're looking for.

Doesn't this change with pilot profile? Hmm.
