Well it wasn´t a glory start with AEP but at least I kick the *** of this gladiator:

And it wasn´t the last because I make a loop and with the remaining landing gear I destroy its right wing and the pilot bailout, unfortunately a remaing Gladiator dive against me and not allow me test the airplane in "clear" configuration http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Well I got the sim today so I have a lot of things to try http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The best part about flyable biplanes is that a lot of players probably think that the fights in a biplane are slow.

The flight speed is slow, but the manuevers are fast.. It's such a large change that it is a whole 'new' type of fight.

Yes, this make that when you get a gladiator at your six is not very easy to get it out of there, fortunatelly their .303 mg are not very strong http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Actually, a Galiator can get to upwards of 350kph. A monoplane that gets caught low and slow is in real trouble.

The .303s aren't very hard hitting, but they can get the job done. Just don't shoot at the whole aircraft, aim for engines and cockpits. Spraying the wings is worthless - even fuel tanks are hard to hit.I have a 4 J8A vs 4 Cr.42 + 3xJu-52 QMB mission I fly a lot nowadays. I can, on a good day, flame all the Ju-52s and then put one of the Cr.42s down. Uusually the last one, I've found that my 3 vs their 4 - even on Average vs Veteran - the Gladiators just claw the Cr.42s out of the sky.

Veteran - Bermuda Triangle Expeditionary Force. 1993-1951.

What do you think of the spin and the CR 42? I find if you try to roll it with rudder (barrell roll) she'll flat spin on you. Takes a good km to recover.

Should not be this way. The Falco was superior to the Gladiator in maneuverability. The CR 42 FM needs work
