Any one else noticed that when taxing aircraft such the Me262, Ho-229 or the He-162, that the nose wheel will turn to the left or right using the rudder, but the aircraft will not turn? The nose wheel will just skid sideways unstead of the aircraft tracking the nose wheel and turning as it should. Obviously not correct.

Most fighters with tricycle landing gears had castor-style from wheels. The wheels themselves weren't steerable.

Using the brakes in conjuction with the rudder makes the planes turn much better. Give it a try.

I just noticed that today too on the YP-80. I don't know if the nose wheel is supposed to turn or not, but it does in game and the aircraft does not turn as easily as it looks like it should. It would make no sense at all to have an aircraft with a tricycle gear without a steerable nose wheel, but then that's just me. Even with using brakes, the jets can be kinda hard to taxi.

Even with brakes, these aircraft do not taxie correctly.
The nose wheel turns or steers, the aircraft will not.
