Yes, hats off to the mods. Since I started playing around with LOMAC, I can tell you that the LOMAC forum has quite a different atmosphere; still very good, but somehow way more formal. These guys have managed to moderate the IL2 forum in a way that allows us some freedoms, yet won't put up with BS.

Not to take anything away from the other mods, but the best thing to happen to these forums has been Crazy Ivan. He's like an insult comic: Even though you are getting a toungue-lashing from him, you still really like him, and can't really get upset at him. He locks threads with comments that are as hilarious as the OT material in the thread. His offers to send people "on vacation" always crack me up, but he has earned the respect that is due him.

Salute Ivan!

Thanks for kind words, but keeping this place in order is truly team effort, everyone has their different approach, but buttom line our job gets done. And all people that were mentioned in original thread contributed for making these forums a better place just as much of not more. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Cheers!

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

I have to admit that I've been fighting the mad urge to post a "Word to your Mother" thread in tribute to this one.

So far, so good.
