GhostRecon was running great with the exception of a little lag when i held an automatic in....but i was about half way through the first map and then the sound just stopped working...but as soon as i closed GR, it worked again...

As your sound device drivers are dated 2000 I would go to this link and try to d/l newer ones.

They will ask for "enter model product number:" Make sure you get them for Windows ME

Claudeboy,

This is considered a work around but it worked for me.
Go to Start>Run, type in dxdiag. After it loads go to the sound tab and move the Hdwe acceleration slider all the way to the left. Try the game. If it doesn't click anymore you can try it more to the right until it starts clicking then back it off a little. And as lap suggests, update those sound device drivers.
