Is there a way to bring new map options into the quick mission builder menu within FB or any future releases?

Would be nice.

I guess 70% of all missions are flown using the QMB. Some minor additions such as more maps would be great.

Also, a possibility to take off in a quick mission would be great.

Yes, this is something I would like. I find the full mission builder too slow and too hard to pick options. Sometimes I just want to fly in normandy at night. In order to do that, I pretty much have to build my own mission.

Basically, it would be nice to be able to select at least one air space for every map rather than just the three that are currently available.

Shortly after FB was released I remember somebody asking Oleg to include all maps in QMB- they thought it would be quite simple to do. Oleg replied, and I quote:
"Disagree. It's a LOT of work."
He went on to explain why but wound up by saying: "Probably we'll do one more." (ie include one more map in QMB in a future patch). When 1.21 arrived it did not include any additions which was somewhat disappointing- until Uberdemon came to the rescue. His programme is so much better than QMB I can't think why people still lobby for QMB improvements.

Check out Uberdemon's program, works very well at replacing QMB and more.

Hey, thanks for the info. I'll check out that program.

At first I had a hard time getting it installed. I just got it working and at first glance, its not as easy to use as QMB. You basically have to creat the mission outside of IL2 and then start up a mission in multiplayer mission area.

Still I think we shouldn't relly on 3rd party program just to have one more QMB map. I would vote for Normady map http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

I was disappointed when FB came out and did not have anyting other than the old IL2 maps in QMB......since FB is a NEW stand alone game having the old IL2 maps only was bad.
I don't expect to see any new maps in QMB.

Just for added clarification, I believe the reason new maps are so much work is they require a templates (missions) for EVERY possible combination of aircraft to be constructed. Needless to say, 32 aircraft times the 80+ flyables at 10(?) different altitudes makes for quite a bit of work. Uberdemon took up the reigns and did a good job, but unless I'm mistaken he does not use all the aircraft with all the maps (yet?) either.
