I still flying 109. Just curious anybody like me after so many new planes come out, try for a while, and they still went back to their old bird.

Of cause there a lot of people are different from me, but i just want to know how many ppl like me?

I stuck to Hurricanes when FB came out, through most ad-ons. But after AEP, I have started flying the I-185. Yes, I know it's one of the "bad" planes, but it's such a wonderfull low level turnfighter!

Fly friendly!

Hmm, me? I dont really have ONE specific plane I favour, but I do have three or four I tend to prefer to fly above the rest. I would say I aspire to fly them all competantly at some point though but for now they are a novelty.

Me. I like flying almost everything, but prefer Bf-109 G-6.

When the original Il-2 came out I was amazed with the 109. It was the first plane I tried and I ofcourse crashed on take off, wich made me jump up and down with joy..."Finally they made it difficult" I thought...and it was. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/icon_twisted.gif
I strutted around in the 109 until FB and flew mainly Finnish planesets and the 109 still came first.
I ofcourse tried other planes too but didnt really fly them online. I also experimented with the planes and did comparisons with the 109.

With AEP I have not time anymore to just fly the 109, actually seldom do. There are so many great planes to discover..so that is what I do now.

At the moment I try to discover the performance limits of big bombers and lighter groundpounders like Il2's and bf110's and try to learn how to deal vith enemy fighters in these planes.
And I really am forced by the laws of the Crapplane coolfactor nowadays.......Why choose a 109 when u can take a Fiat cr42 or a G50 or IAR81 ? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif

...Anyway, I think that sticking to a few planes in the beginning was a good thing because u explored the limits....with this habit I now explore the other ones in the same way....so I'll probably be buzy for a few more years ........Only problem with jumping between different planes is that u lose that edge, still experienced but not peek performance...... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Yes, that was the times http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif.
Personally I remember the first attempts of flyin in IL-2 by(When I eventually got airborne) the difficulty of level flight.
Hopelessly got behind attackin IL-2 with my tail hangin and causin such drag I usually not gettin speed over 200km/h http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif.

The simulation of flight seemed to be correctly modelled to my novice eyes. It was hard but fun. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif

Then my favorite were the 109 and still is.
The skills flyin it has improved, but so has it for the rest of the online flyers too http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif.

Leavin me in a kind of stand still condition of the everlast noob http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif.

Heads-on firing was not a safe practice after all ?
Jussi Huotari: It was not specially recommendedÔ.....
And later, as the Russians were armed with 20mm cannons, it was unwise to meet them heads-on

What I have seen of u online doesnt look that "Noobish" at all to me "Trigger"....but I dont know if its any consolation, when coming from me though.
I'm kindof happy if I'm able to return home and land a few times per night these days http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif

Sometimes I wonder if I should have kept my tactical ideas to myself instead of giving tips to others? Gettin shot down all the time doesnt look good when I participate in tactical discussions and suggest tactics. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif I still laugh my head of when flying online though.

It was some consolation http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif.

the online gaming develops all the time and kind of makes it worth while to participate.

The flyin part kind of comes natural after some while but combat flyin remains difficult.

All ppl havin TR and all makes it more and more difficult to surprice them.

Tactics becoming more an issue of survival online. ItÔ┬┤s far too easy to be lured into turnfighting when your goal is to ZnB http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif

Perhaps this old sod should get into some of the squads and quit the life as lone wolf online(4 tactical reason). http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif
