Cool beans.

I seen an interview with a B-29 veteran pilot on TV a while back. He said flying the B-29 was like sitting on your porch and flying your house.

See you in the fence....

lol, when i saw the title of this thread for some reason i knew it was about "fifi". this is the caf's b-29, i think its the only flyable b29 in the world. I get to see it getting worked on in midland,tx(this is where it spends most of its time). I go down to see it every month or so when i get a chance. Last airshow it only flew for a few minutes because they had a problem raising the nose gear http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif. sorry for the story... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif oh and btw, where are these pics from.

The restoration of the B-29 "Doc" is in progress. Work is slow but doc will eventualy join "FIFI" as the only two flyable examples of the B-29.

Sorry for the quality. I have some better ones, but they are on a cd, I'll try to dig it out a little later once I have a chance. Here are 2 of the B29, and one from Midlands nose art section(funny huh). I actually got a chance to get in the b29 for a while, it was great, would be cool to get a ride in it.
