I rarely see anyone go for fortifications in multiplayer. They should be a priority, and here's why.

Nice one. I appreciated.
Using the castle as a mousetrap for the AI is a good idea.
Is there castle/heroes where this strat works better/worse?
Is there a point where the heroic IA become too powerful to overcome?

Any other guide/tips?
It is a shame that there is no good guide/build for this game to be found on the internet.

Well, Haven has a stronger inherent local guard because of the Champion Guard Tower, which is just insane. Haven has no access to Dark Magic, or any other in combat mana sustain, which balances it out. The Paladins, Tyris and Ymoril, are great at defending towns. Knights, Melisande and Christian, can absorb some losses through reinforcements.

At some point, unless you can take Outnumbering from Leadership to field 9 stacks, your local guard becomes obsolete. With Outnumbering, it simply becomes half as useful. Also, once you start facing heroes with Master Warfare and Siege Warfare, walls don't provide cover for long, and your towers won't last much longer. So yes, there is a point when the defender's advantage becomes minimal, but the AI doesn't take Warfare often, so it shouldn't happen often against AI unless they sit back and slam you with 3 months worth of creatures.

Well ... So what solution do you propose, sonny?
