I'm having a lot of problems with the installation on my PC.

Ok that I have the Windows 10, and I know the game wasn't designed for it. But I guess a more detailed explanation about the game installation and its peculiarities (UPlay) would be welcome.

I'm looking forward to play the game.

Hi IronRafa666 and welcome to the forums, when installing do you receive any errors?

Please also try verifying your files;

1. In the Uplay client, click on Games
2. Click on the game you wish to verify the files for. Click on the Properties and choose Verify files.
3. Uplay will then begin the process of checking your files.

If after doing this it still persists please open a ticket with our Support Team https://support.ubi.com including a DxDiag report and MS info.

Thanks

Hello Ubi-MoshiMoshi,

when I click the Verify Files, Uplay returns my files are OK.

Then I click "Play" and it begins the installation (it passes through the steps 1 (DirectX installing), 2, 3 and 4 (about Visual Studio libraries I guess)).

After the step 4/6, disappear all messages on the screen and the installation process keep running for many and many hours.

I've already opened a ticket on the Support Team (I'm from Brazilian, so I did it in the Portuguese site and my ticket number is 03103810).

Now, I'm downloading the latest update of the Windows 10 (of November, 2015). And I hope it will work, otherwise I don't know what to do anymore, I have tried everything.

Thanks.

Please could you go into SteamApps\common\Might & Magic Heroes VII\Support\DotNet and install the dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe file there.

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks

I updated my W10, but HOMM VII didn't run! :(

I was wondering if my Norton Antivirus could be embarassing the UPlay work?

Do you have the correct ports open? https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/FAQ/9/2962/connectivity-issues-in-might-and-magic-heroes-vii/kA030000000enxgCAA

Please also allow these through Norton.

Let us know if this helps.

Hey IronRafa666

Norton might be blocking the game from running for sure, make sure you run the game as Admin (right click/run as admin) Allow it to run with your firewalls (Both window and Norton) and then tell me what the message is actually saying that is not allowing you to play after all of that. It's not a Heroes issue, as we're running Win10 at work and Heroes runs fine, but we can help you non the less.

1) I uninstalled the Norton, turned off the Windows Firewall and checked my ports (they're OK).
2) I reinstalled the UPlay and the HOMM VII.

The same error: "0xc000007b: The application cannot start correctly".

I guess the problem is the DirectX. My Windows 10 is up to date and running the DirectX 12 (it never runned DirectX 11 or previous). I found this message log (c:\Windows\Logs\DirectX.txt) when I tried to run the game:

Indeed, it could be and sounds like DirectX http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/windows/how-fix-application-was-unable-start-correctly-0xc000007b-error-message-3613164/

I suggest trying to install the latest version of DirectX again https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/179113
