Peoples who using the PCI sound card like the Audigy even the CMI8738 don't have the time out.
But all kinds of on board sound card(like the Soundstorm/AC97)course the time out,is that right?

The soundstorm is analogus to a PCI soundboard since it has its own APU and it doesn't take away CPU resources any more than a PCI soundboard would.

So that shouldn't make any sense...in theory http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I have on-board sound and not a time-out yet.

However, I didn't look into the timeout issue yet (since I don't have that problem). I think however that I've read somewhere only hosts are experiencing it? Well, just in case, then I can't tell, since I never host. Wait a moment, does this make sense? Can a Host get a time out at all? Maybe I mix something up here lol.

Yeah, whatever.

Nope.
I have an ASUS A7N8X 2.0 with 1007 BIOS installed.

I've YET to have a timeout.

I have an on board (AC-97) card and I timeout from immediate to 30 minutes of play time...

I'm real bummed about it...I'm going to try no sound tonight but I don't think it will be any fun
