Press ctrl+F1 to center the crosshair in German fighters. Just as it says in your manual. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Oh, and read the unofficial community faq in the upper left hand corner.

The problem is solved by pressing shift-F1

Edit: Sorry ctrl-F1

its because in german planes u had to lean to the left when aiming as the gunsight was not centered

-------------

"The picture repeats itself when operations, which began with great intent and local successes, degenerated into senseless, wild hammering at fixed front-line positions once they encounter initial heavy losses and unforeseen situations. This incomprehensible phenomenon appears again and again. But, even in extremis, the Russian is never logical; he falls back on his natural instinct, and the nature of the Russian is to use mass, steamroller tactics, and adherence to given objectives without regard to changing situations."

German 9th Army report after repulsing the Soviet offensive "Mars" in Rzhev bulge, December 1942.

It is SHIFT-F1, not ctrl-F1, but yes, use the "Gunsight view" control.

Rightiyo. It's SHIFT not CTRL. Forgive me as I climb into my Yak to crash it into the runway in an act of ceremonial harakiri.

Correct, Shift+F1 not Ctrl+F1, which will give you something quite different (cockpit off, if you have that option enabled, which you shouldn't in my opinion when learning to fly). By the way, you can use this option in every plane, not just the Bf 109.
