cheating messages are connection related. It doesn`t mean that someone is cheating. Just ignore it. Basically that means that someones connection is not meeting requirements of online security settings set by the server

The cheating has been detected message indicates jumps in ping; it's got nothing to do w/ cheating. You can alter the massage to display the offending player if you want to insure it's not you.

Open you main FB directory.

Open the i18n folder

Open the netmessages file (appropriate to your language) w/ note pad.

modify the file as follows:

user_cheating1 Cheating has been detected!
user_cheating2 Cheating has been detected!
user_cheating3 Cheating has been detected!

Change to:

user_cheating1 {0} has a poor ping.
user_cheating2 {0} is causing lag.
user_cheating3 {0}'s connection Sux!

The {0} (that's a zero, not an O)tag inserts the offending players name, and the separate messages indicate # of offenses (the first message is displayed first, the second message second ...You can write whatever you want; only you will see the message.

"Cheating detected" does not necessarily mean anyone is cheating.

It means game is detecting excessive lag/packet loss, which can be a way of cheating but 99.999% of the time is just peoples slow connections.

If you have a slow dial-up connection it may be you causing the problem, but you are not cheating or breaking any rules.

Enjoy the game.

I would like to think nobodys cheating in FB.

Probably not realistic, because I know people will cheat if they can get away with it. I know if I knew for sure there was cheating in FB i'd probably never fly online again.

The great thing about FB is that the offline play is so much fun. I still find it quite challenging.

Me too Bear. I enjoy offline. I can use exactly the settings I want. I can make the AI as hard as I want. Plus they tell me I did a good job and give me awards../i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

the cheat warnings are usually from connection problems, many people repeated hit prntscrn and quick multiplayer track record which creates thier plane to warp on purpose, 1c should take a look into it, I know they supposably did a time you can hit printscreen but thats only for tga files if you hit prntscreen regaurdless of what button is assigned to it it takes a capture and will create a slight warp.

Heya new guys welcome to the community. FYI there is no cheating in IL2, it's one of the few games in which cheating is not possible on a large scale.. A La CFS.

can anybody tell me how much does using Quick track record disrupts the ping/game? does it affect the whole game, or just people nearby?
