Hi been seeing a lot of people also having this issue of the download getting stuck at 88% just wondering if anyone has found a fix.
Also download timing out.

Yeah seen a lot of people on steam saying also, hopefully a fix soon.

No and I've been posting in here and on steam all freaking night. No-one is answering this question. Preloaded, and that crapped out, then deleted it to redownload per ideas on the forums, and now this 88% crap. Literally everyone is ignoring this and not answering it ANYWHERE.

I'm in queue for Ubisoft LiveChat...if they give me any answer that is worth it, I'll post back to everyone on it.

Yeah I have Re downloaded 3 times, still nothing just hits 88% and stops. Okay sweet keep me posted :)

Guy on steam is in line #88, I'm 171. So he's going to beat me to it.

I'm even willing to say screw steam, and download it on UbiSoft (if they will unlink it and let me), if that will actually download the damn thing the entire way. I'll keep everyone posted, since you know...Ubisoft isn't doing their job to tell us (so I'll do it for them).

Just bumping up so that this is in the eye of everyone. I'm 54 in line, and one dude is already talking to them. We're trying to explain what is going on to get an official response from UbiSoft. Will keep everyone in the loop as we know more.

I know it's been a bit, so here's an update. I'm still 33 in line, but the gentleman that I'm helping talk to UbiSoft support is feeding back to be what they're saying.

The Tier 1 have no idea what to do with this. Either that, or they are told to play dumb and not mention any sort of gating of the downloads to the servers. So I'm helping him give information, but escalate to a manager or a Tier 2 to get to the bottom of why everyone's downloads are stalled / stopped in Steam and UPlay. Soon as I'm either in talking to them or get information from him, I'll post here.

- The Unofficial Ubisoft Community Support Tech (that shouldn't be doing this for free, and could be doing his own job that he took the day off for)

So unfortunately this CS support that the guy I'm working with currently has is trying to pawn this off on steam. They actually either :


1) Do not know what is going on, and don't have an official stance on what to tell customers.


or


2) Know what's going on, but can't tell us, because again...no official stance to say "sorry we're gating you to keep the servers stable and don't have any ETA at this time of when we'll start letting downloads happen again". Why they wouldn't just be up front if that's the issue is beyond me, but their PR person apparently would rather anger the community / customers instead of tell the truth.


So she's trying to pawn him off to not be able to fix the problem (as she's been on with him for an hour). Completely refusing escalations to a manager or Tier 2 (which needs to be spammed on their forums so that someone can take action on that....not being able to escalate is ridiculous).


Hopefully I'll have better luck shortly, as I'm #5 in the queue now.

Ok guys, here's the raw deal (glad I come from this industry and do this for a living with tech support).


Finally got through to a tech that was willing to level with me and work it out (Chris H, he needs to get kudos on customer support please). Basically Ubisoft had no idea this was happening (I mean let's face it, they've had a TON of other things to worry about with the servers going down and critical bugs), so quite literally our posts have been buried.


On the Known issues post, I was able to get one of their developers to respond to us. She wasn't aware of the issue and is chasing it from her end. Chris (CS support) also forwarded to the developers as a few of us have made it through the long long line, and reported this. So the developers on their side are trying to push to get a resolution.


From checking into the issue, they see that they have the files pushed to Steam to push out, and have confirmed Uplay is pushing the files out directly on their service to customers that bought through Uplay instead. So at this point, the issue appears to be from Steam sending back to us. They'll try to get movement from their side, but now it's time for us to figure out how to get STEAM to answer our support requests (much much harder, they do not have any sort of phone number or live support like other companies do). So if anyone can find a number or support (or can spam their support email for help), we can get this moving.

I'm also having this issue, and I've contacted Steam through their ticket system. I'll let you guys know if I get any updates/fixes. Anybody come up with a solution yet?

I had pre-loaded it fully yesterday and had this same error. Tried reinstalling it and now I'm also stuck at 88% with connection time out. This thread seems to be the only one with any information on this issue.

I'm having this same issue, download reaches 26.9/30.5gb. I've tried deleting the local content and just redownloading it all, only for it to stop at 88% again. Hope they fix this soon, I want to play!

So I just spotted this https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision/comments/49lz8x/fix_for_stuck_on_steam_download/ Not sure if it's real yet or not. I'm trying the download now. I've never done it, but supposedly if you backup your steamapps folder and then put it back where it belongs after steam has been reinstalled, it'll keep your games. I'll let you know how it all goes when I'm done testing.

Any updates currently to this issue? i am still running into it and i even uninstalled steam (completely so lost all my saves) to try and get it to work. I also tried using the activation code from steam in the Ubisoft program, but even ubisoft says the game is not released yet to be downloaded.

Apparently uninstalling steam & uplay and reinstalling fixes it. Will try it later when back from work to see if this fixes it.

Didn't work for me either. I removed the game and Uplay and still can't download the Day 1 patch. So it's not just downloading the game, the problem is affecting those of us trying to get the Day 1 patch as well. Apparently they are having MAJOR issues with their download service. 2 days and still no response of when a fix is coming.

Going to try again tonight see if it makes any difference. If anyone else has found another fix which doesnt involve reinstalling steam/uplay/division please help!

I'm running into this same issue. I've reinstalled uPlay and still can't get the game to download completely. If I close and reopen uPlay, the download will run for about 10 seconds and then stop.

I had basically the same problem. I bought Anno 2205, installed it and played without any issues. The same day I purchased The Division and the download was stuck at 60%.

Yes there was enough space on the harddisk, switched from IPv6 to IPv4, disabled or uninstalled every firewall etc....nothing helped. Tried to download more than 6 times and the download got always stuck at 60%.

Seriously when searching for a solution the only thing I haven't tried was uninstalling the launcher. So the next day I thought...ok..let's see... The second I uninstalled Anno (different harddisk) the download for The Division continued.

I have no clue why this influenced the download...but in case you have a similar problem just try to de-install your Ubisoft games (one by one) and see what happens.

Hope this helps for some guys, because I know how frustrating this was for me. Even more this kind of solution that makes no sense at all.
