I reckon that conflict would make a great mod for IL-2 and a good small online war. Too bad mods for Il-2 are few and far between. From the looks of that page we wouldn't need to model too many things. Maybe Oleg will continue to mod with the BOB engine. Who knows.

Thanks for the link though quite a nice little read.

Cheers,

Was that the war because of an football match? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif No, I think that was later on..?

No I think the football war came a bit later. In reallity it wasn't all because of a football match after all, but it sure was the spark that ignited the powder.

I have their site bookmarked on my browser (the site where the above profiles came from). Lots of interesting post-war dogfights listed using current game aircraft involved too. Like the early Mid-East wars for the birth of Israel (e.g. Israeli Spitfire vs. Egyptian Spitfire).

Thats cool stuff, I doubt you'll see a mod of it though. I think the only mod you possibly get... at least its been rumored that we could see a Spanish Civil War mod. Anyways the problem is that all the equipment is too early for WWII, all those planes were 100% outdated so we wont see anyone skins or anything. If Knights over Europe has a forum I suggest posting it in their. That would be their cup of tea I would think.

Thanks for that link though you learn something new every day!

One question: were there any aces of this war?

In Chaco war the most scoring pilot was Pavon with 3 confirmed kills (considering the few planes are wide extemsion of combat area, is a good toll)

They also make some air resuply in this war (for the troops i mean...not air refuel :P) http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif
