I have a Logitech Wingman Force 3D joystick, and am quite happy with it. However, I also have a Saitech Rumblepad with a lot more progammable buttons. Is it possible to use both at the same time? (The joystick for pitch, roll, yaw, and weapons, and the gamepad's progammable buttons for things like engine management?

Quite possible. You may need to do a conf.ini edit to keep your josytick sesitivity settings though. Are they both plugged in while you play currently or do you swap them about depending on game?

Totally possible. I use a Saiteck X45 and a MSFFB2 stick...and a Saiteck gamepad all at once. I am even thinking about adding another gamepad for it's buttons too. I'm not sure how many controllers IL2 FB will support tho. All of this will be wired and set up on my cockpit as soon as it's built. Hopefully in about a week. I hope I hope.

Should be possible -I use Saitek/logitech sticks depending on which system I m flying on and a Nostromo N-50 speedpad, comes in real handy, the wheel on the Speed pad is mapped to the throttle, and common settings-CEM/startup sequneces etc.. are mapped to the first "layer" of key presses,(on this model there are 11 buttons with 3 "states") the directional pad emulates the mouse,(the stick tophat still does too, so I can sweep my views with either hand, and reverse the direction of view quickly just by panning the opposite direction with either controller) on some of the shift state buttons Ive set sup some throttle/flaps combinations( ie-chop throttle to 30%, increase flaps to combat...prevents overshoot, stabilizes the plane a bit ) /view controls, etc etc. Prop pitch since I dont mess with it much once a good cruise is obtained-is on the mouse wheel,
This leaves the stick buttons/sliders free for whatever. (like VERY fine control of flaps using the throttle slider....)Its also nice to be able to push the keyboard way over to the side, youll still need it but much less often-The options are endless.Fair warning you can blow HOURS of flight time just fiddling with the options...lol, If that gets dull, throw in NewView with smooth quick panning and its key mapping/button generator for a third layer of functions and you can go completely insane.
Have fun

Hi, I have my PS2 controller connected to my pc and I want to be able to use it for going left right up down, etc... Is it possible to use a joystick, or a gamepad in FarCry because mine is not allowing it?

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

I'm liking this idea. I've got a gamepad laying around here as well as a Saitek rumble stick (me EVO sucks, but LH pilots have little other choice)
Hmmm, indeed this give me an idea...
thanks for the post, enlightening, informative and downright tasty

well I have trackir, trackball, CHpro pedals, and a lone stick. Thats considered four, no?
Right now its not recognizing the gamepad, off to search the site. Could be four is max, or I dont have something correct for the gamepad...

Just to sidetrack you joystick wizards and pick your brains, what would you recommend as a reasonably good joystick - MS Sidewinder Pro?
