I just started flying boe, I flew the first missions for the p-38 and the p-51, looks and works great, but, the missions start in the air and end in the air, I like to takeoff and land. this makes the game fun for me. is there a way to change the campaign so i can takeoff and land, or am i able to takeoff and land later in the campaigns.

You'll need to start the campaign with the "Takeoffs & Landings" difficulty setting turned on. Once a campaign is started you can't change difficulty settings mid-stream.

Tully, does it really end in the air ? I mostly play with takeoffs/landings off, but once I finish the mission objective I never bother to take the flight back to my base and just hit ESC. If it does, I'll give it a try because I can't stand the holding pattern as planes land, especially if I'm the 12th plane of a dozen in the queue .

Well, I guess that BoE doesn ´t include a UK map, does it? In that case, at least for some campaigns, you won´t be able to take off and land, as before D-Day and the establishment of the British and American in Normandy, they had to take off from british bases.

If you've started each campaign at the beginning, "Preparing the Invasion", then you are flying over the Channel to France. There are no GB airfields, hence the air start and finish. Once "Operation OverLord" has begun and French airfields are established, you will have normal takeoffs and landings provided you have selected such in the Realism Settings.

I just push in to the queue at an oppurtune time or land on a taxiway.

If takeoffs/landings is switched off in difficulty settings, landing is ignored as a prerequisite for progression to the next mission even if "No Instant Mission Success" is turned on. I'm afraid I've never tested what happens if the mission desiginer has set no landing waypoint and "Takeoffs & Landings" is switched on, so I can't help out there. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
