Hi fellow Assassins :D

I attempted to do this mission where Charles asks you to fetch him a newspaper. The sequence that follows involves chasing some thief to be tackled, ending up on a railway track where a timer starts and the train is bearing down on him. I haven't managed to complete this yet and the train runs him over.
On restart the game goes into an impossible loop, with no timer, just another De-synchronization. The only way to stop the loop is to Ctrl>Alt>Del and stop the program from running and restart the game . Then upon restarting the game, and because a presave has been made, when the sequence starts, I can only use Esc (Less than 1 sec to do it) to abort the mission and start again from the very beginning.

Has anyone experienced this as I think it must be considered a bug, or is there something I'm missing here?

This is a known issue for the Xbox One and PS4 that has since been resolved in a patch. I'd suggest that you verify your game files so that you'll have the most up-to-date version of the game's files.

If this doesn't resolve the matter please contact Ubisoft Support (https://support.ubi.com/en-US/index) for further assistance to get you past this point.

Thank you for your response however:
Game Files have been verified OK
My version is for PC, so I hope there is a patch forthcoming and will contact support for a resolution.

Please contact Ubisoft Support (https://support.ubi.com/en-US/index) for a possible workaround. The workaround that was used for the PS4 and Xbox One was to mash the share or guide buttons to pull you out of the loop. Unfortunately this doesn't really come across well for the PC, so please give support a chance and they can get you back into the game.
