Well, you guessed it . . . It's pretty much the same as Warbirds. It's the same graphics engine, for sure! You have 3 levels of difficulty in campaign play, and you get to play online for free. You are, however, limited to only the Spit, and hurri on the allied side. You have to pay if you want more planes available online.

Make no mistakes, this is not ANYTHING like IL2/FB, but it IS fun and educational. The campaign is loaded with history, and (unlike most of the History Channel programing), is not filled with bias. There are even quotes from Adolph Hitler, something that I have never before seen in a game like this.

At $19.95 US, I recomend this as a fun diversion from the usual routine. It doesn't have the realistic appearance of FB, but it still is pretty cool to see litterally hundreds of planes in the air. . . something that would not be possible if the graphics were anywhere near the quality we have in FB, but still very fun.

What other planes can you fly without paying? Or do you have to pay for every plane outside of the Hurri and Spit?

I must say, it sounds like a rip-off.

A 109 was listed (Model unspecific), and another Deutsch plane, but I was to quick on the play button to see it. After I got on the server I was all alone. . . so I played some more offline where all planes are flyable.

Ah, all planes flyable offline, that sounds much better.

What about LAN play?

What's the offline flyables list? Just 1940 planes,
or the whole WB III shooting match?

Better yet, point us at a forum/site dedicated to that game so that it isn't being posted as a (technically) off-topic post here. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Respect to Tully, and last entry here. Bought it at Wallmart. I know that the community loves flight simming, or we wouldn't be here. Yes, technically OT, but so are dozens of other FS related posts that keep interest here.

What I want to know is there any fun and/or substance to flying this sim totally offline. Especially as far s a lengthy campaign. I have little or no interest in flying it online, same way I feel about FB. I hate online playing. If it's anything like Warbirds, offline play is limited since they want to lure you into flying online to get the money from your wallet. If anybody finds any substance to this sim's offline possibilities, let me know. I may buy it if it has a viable offline potential. But considering it's done by the Warbird guys, I'm not getting my hopes up. They igmore people with offline tendencies.

Isn't this game more of a fun thing than a sim??

I am buying it right now so I'll report back once I've tried it.

I would be curious too if this thing has good offline potential.

My guess is to say it's geared for online play.

I'd also like to hear more
