I've noticed that there are just 6 different engine sounds for so many flyable planes (and engines):

- Radial twin-row engines: FW190A and F, P-47, B-239, La5 and La-7
- Radial single-row engines: P-11, I-16 and I-153
- V12 engines: Yaks, P-39s, P-40s, Hurricanes, MiGs, LaGGs, IL-2s and TB-2 (x4 and more noisy)
- Inverted V12 engines: Me109s, FW190Ds (turns faster), Stukas and He.111 (x2)
- Jet engines: Me.262s
- Rocket engine: BI-1

Some more engine sounds would be greatly appreciated.
For example, P-47 and FW engines surely sounded different, since the first was a 14-cylinders and the latter a 18-cylinders. Moreover, I would like to hear the turbocharger sound, for example on Bf109 and P-47...

Also guns don't sound very nice, with light MGs doing "pop-pop", heavy MGs doing "crack-crack", 15-20 mm cannons doing "tacka-tacka" and big cannons doing "pook-pook". I think they're not at the (excellent) level of the rest of the game, expecially compared to CFS3 gun sound, and they flame far too much (disturbing aiming and being not real).

What's your opinion?

i think it's fine the way it is, sometimes just not caring about this stuff is more fun than worrying about it

i know there are more types of engines than there are engine sounds - however alot of the russian single engine (even some twins) had the same engine - m-105 or something like that - it was even put into some of thh american/brit planes that were sent over to russia- this would account for alot of the single engined planes sounding the same

however it would be nice to have more distinct engine sounds for some of the planes - the merlin in the hurricane for example.

as for guns - i hadn't really noticed - post patch the .50 cals sound great (when you can hear them) so i guess it would be nice to have other more individual sounds for gun.

all in all it would be good to have these things - but i would say there are other things that need sorting first ( i know your'e not saying that these things should get precendence over other things) - i guess it's just more "ear candy" /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Yeah, that's it.
But I felt just a bit disappointed, coming from CFS3, that engines sounded so similar one another, and that guns have these poor sounds... at least in my opinion.
Try the four Hispano 20 mm cannons in CFS3 and then in FB, and you'll know what I'm talking about... mmmmhh, I think I can link some of these CFS3 sounds, just to compare with FB.
